It is the world's only divided country, yet it has risen as a titan of economic growth and a global trendsetter in music, beauty, and film. To experience this vibrant culture is to also experience one of the safest countries in the world.
However, navigating the depths and nuances of modern Korea requires a sophisticated partner—one with unwavering professionalism, profound local insight, and a sharp focus on your objectives.
A PIECE OF KOREA WAS ESTABLISHED ON THIS VERY PRINCIPLE.
Whether we are orchestrating a faculty-led academic program, a strategic corporate insight trip, or a bespoke family vacation, we are committed to delivering unparalleled quality and flawlessly executed experiences.
In 2018, our founder Andrew Park, a Seoul native, struggled to find a professional, responsive travel agency for his 55 Wharton MBA classmates in Korea. He saw a gap: global interest in Korea soared, yet visitors missed its authentic, vibrant essence. After successfully leading two Wharton trips himself, Andrew was inspired. He teamed with like-minded friends, bringing A PIECE OF KOREA to life. Since 2018, A PIECE OF KOREA has grown from a boutique agency to a trusted partner for esteemed organizations worldwide. Our reach now spans Seoul, Busan, Jeju, and even multi-country journeys across Asia.
Selena Seoyoung Kim is the CEO of A PIECE OF KOREA, where she leads the design and operation of high-end immersion programs for global audiences seeking deeper engagement with Korea. With a background spanning art, technology, and brand strategy, Selena has worked across Europe and Asia, including leading UX research at Europe’s largest e-commerce fashion platform in Berlin and advising brands and institutions on cultural partnerships and experiential programs rooted in contemporary Korean context. A Harvard University graduate, she brings a global perspective and on-the-ground fluency to shaping experiences that move beyond surface-level travel into meaningful cultural context. Outside of work, Selena spends her time exploring exhibitions, cities, and conversations that sit between disciplines.
Andrew Park is the founder and CEO of A PIECE OF KOREA, born from his desire to connect global travelers with the depth, beauty, and nuance of the Korean experience. With a background as a consultant at BCG in Seoul and Los Angeles, and an MBA from Wharton, Andrew blends strategic insight with deep cultural fluency to unlock Korea's most compelling people, places, and stories. Previously, he also scaled Korea's largest travel media platform, reaching millions daily across digital channels. Now, he designs journeys that go far beyond the expected—offering rare access and unforgettable context. When he's not building travel experiences, Andrew enjoys hiking and running through the hills and neighborhoods of Seoul.
